Honestly can’t tell you which was my favourite dish because every single course smashed it out of the park. This was the most memorable dining experience I’ve had in a Melbourne restaurant and am looking forward to many more visits in the future.

We chose the French Saloon to celebrate my husband’s birthday and our wedding anniversary. We shared the chicken liver parfait for starters - it was the best I’ve ever tasted, accompanied by kumquat jam. For mains I chose the French gnocchi with peas and mint, and my husband chose the steak frites. Both were excellent except that my husband found the steak quite chewy. We passed this on the our waitress who then passed it onto the chef. He was offered a different cut of steak as a substitute but declined, however, we really appreciated the offer and openness to feedback. We finished up by sharing a crème brûlée which was thoughtfully delivered with candles! A great place to try if you want something high quality and a little bit different in the CBD.

A group of eight celebrating three birthdays, we all agreed that the restaurant was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious, wine was great, service exemplary and our noisy table was some distance from other diners so we didn’t interrupt anyone. We had chosen the $75 pp set menu and everyone at the table devoured every morsel. We will definitely return.

When Ross Magnaye and Shane Stafford started Serai, their vision was to create a restaurant that would fit perfectly in the heart of the Philippines. To replicate the spirit, vitality, passion and sense of fun, they knew Serai would become a home from home for our diners.

At our restaurant, right in the heart of Melbourne, you can watch the chefs prepare and fresh food daily in our open kitchen at the chef’s omakase table or relax in the restaurant and bar with a glass of our hand picked, vin naturel selections or signature cocktails.

This little place was a total surprise. We were just travelling through Albury and looking for somewhere open on a Sunday night. Expectations were low. But Norma turned out to be one of the best little Italian places we have ever found. The food was super delicious (just way to generous in serving sizes), and the young staff were so friendly and charming. We ended up having a really great night. Don't be fooled by Albury - this place would be 5 star anywhere. Go and enjoy
