    We had been wanting to try Slate Steak and Sushi for many years (we live almost 4 hours away). We made the 250 mile drive and were not disappointed. Our party of 4 had the Fire Cracker Sushi Roll, Tempura Cauliflower and Focaccia Bread. All were great….their Cauliflower is “killer.” We ordered (2) 8oz filet mignon, that were cooked to perfection, with mash potatoes and grilled broccolini and grilled onion. The other two on-trays were the Braised Short Rib, and an order of the Gnocchi, the plates were eaten clean. For dessert we shared a Bread Pudding and the Butter Cake. All present were pleased with the choice of Slate Steak and Sushi for our dinner rendezvous. We will definitely be back, next time we are in the Ventura/Oxnard/Camarillo area.

    This is by far the BEST tiki bar out there! It hits you as soon as you walk through the front door and you’re immediately transported into a tropical oasis and greeted with a waterfall. Then you enter through the second door and boom! The details are spectacular and next level. This is a most stop for everyone looking for a true tiki bar. Bravo House of. Bamboo!
