Food and service was amazing as usual. Tried their wagyu and was disappointed, especially because everything from Bestia is always done at the highest caliber. The raw veggies didn't make sense and the porcini sauce, while good, was overpowering. The steak itself was perfect but definitely will skip next time. The pizza, caesar salad, cavatelli (best dish of the night), bone marrow, creamsicle, and walnut tart were all so good and well worth the trip from OC.

We enjoyed our first experience at Bavel last night. We had a reservation and were seated right on time. We ordered a bottle of wine, and the sommelier was excellent. She took her time explaining our options for the price we told her we would like to spend. The wine she picked was excellent! The food itself was as good as we had read in the reviews. We ended up ordering the Hummus Duck 'Nduja, which was excellent. All of the various breads were amazing. We ended up ordering only appetizers. We ordered the Butter Lettuce Salad, Oyster Mushroom Kebab, Lamb Flatbread, and the Malawach. We were stuffed after all of that and glad we had waited on an entree because we were full at the end of our appetizers. You get a fair amount of bread with each, and that certainly helped fill us up. Of the appetizers, they were all good. My two favorites were the Malawach and the Oyster Mushroom Keebab. So good! We ended the night with the Almond Blossom Honey Nougat Glace and it was really delicious and was a great way to end our meal.

Mouthwatering Food ✅ Incredible Ambience ✅ Wonderous Service✅ We were welcomed and taken care of and treated like family by Kuron and Michael. I’ve never experienced the kind of warmth and incredible service that I experienced at their hands. I can’t wait to go back. And did I say the food was awesome ? Well it was!!

Think Los Angeles is a one-industry town? Think again. From the micro-Seoul of Koreatown to unexpected fusion cuisines (take Chinese-Mexican, for one) and strip malls that house destination restaurants, the city’s restaurant scene is notably experimental and diverse. Ask locals where to find the best taco truck (or lonchero) in the city, and you’ve struck a match. These mobile microenterprises are a part of the city's lifeblood. With L.A.’s own Pulitzer Prize-winning food critic, Jonathan Gold, describing the city as “less of a melting pot—more of a glittering mosaic,” we’re seeing L.A.’s vast palate show up on the plate.
