    Even though the restaurant is slightly out of the way, it is worth the trip: 15 Minutes from downtown Monterey. The food was perfectly prepared and energetically served. Definitely California cuisine at its best. The perfectly prepared medium pink interior charbroiled pork chop was served on a bed of sautéed red onions, bacon bits and brussels sprouts where the flavors melded together seamlessly.

    Il Tegamino never disappoints. It’s one of the only spots in Carmel where you can get authentic Italian food with Italian flour pasta and ingredients from Italy - made by an Italian chef. I’ve been to Italy many times and this tastes like the rustic, clean, absolutely delicious dishes I’ve had there. Get the hearty ragu and the lava cake - best dessert in town!
