We wanted a great burger and fries and a place to watch the World Series game 3. We had never been here before and the huge screens above the bar and then a TV at every angle was the perfect choice for watching the game. We were seated right in the middle of the dining area and got to watch the game on a huge screen. The seasonal beers were very good, the burgers were absolutely delicious - cooked perfectly at medium rare (per our request) and the fries were freshly cooked - hot and crispy.

I was seated by the window overlooking the terrace and Riverwalk. My very professional server, Tucker, greeted me warmly and offered a cocktail. From the moment I arrived he made me feel like I was Queen of the World. His wine recommendation was the perfect complement to my salmon entree. He even brought me a tasting of the wine to be sure I liked it before committing to an order. Pro tip: Order from the $49 prix fixe menu. The portions are generous and the cuisine was 5 stars. Another highlight was meeting Bruce, the restaurant owner. He came out to meet me at my table so I had the opportunity to tell him how wonderful everything was from the salad to the espresso.

It was amazing! Did the tasting menu with enhanced wine flight. Each course was excellent, and the total amount of food was perfect. The chef has a sense of humor, dishes were often plays on better known dishes. For example, they had a course with heirloom tomatoes, meet bacon, a sour bread foam, and a lettuce granita—in other words, a wedge salad! 😀. Expensive, but well worth it.

    Supper at Hotel Emma is a must try for visitors and San Antonian's !!! Had a fantastic 4 course meal while enjoying the outdoor ambience. The grilled Pork prime rib was outstanding,perfectly prepared and a first for me. Sides were fresh and savory. Specialty drinks were flavorful and uniquely concocted. Our server was cordial, interactive and knew the menu thoroughly. Can't wait to get back!
