A lovely experience from start to finish, dining at Frida Midtown feels like you’ve been transported to a vacation destination. Attentive service, delicious food, and a wonderful atmosphere all combine to make a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience. We started with pisco sours, which were perfectly crafted, then split the tuna tartare appetizer that was huge and easily shareable. Our entrees were the Baja fish tacos and chicken enchiladas with mole sauce. Both were huge portions. The mole sauce is extremely authentic and for those people who may be expecting the rather bland mole common to most Mexican restaurants, this mole was deep and rich and different in taste and texture from those other sauces. Delicious. The best unexpected surprise was the dessert. We ordered the churros and they were served warm and perfectly done, with no greasiness whatsoever. The churros came with 3 sauces and ice cream. Frida Midtown will definitely become a part of our regular restaurant repertoire.
