Food is 10*. I’m so happy I finally went to check it out. Actually I don’t want to write a review, because MORE people will go then they’ll be less parking & longer wait lines 🤔 and I want to be selfish. We love O’Kims because the food never disappoints. There is always something interesting and worth trying on the monthly menu; otherwise, I am happy to have the fried chicken. We love the excuse to come here to introduce friends and visiting family, especially to their outside seating area.

We were visiting Oahu for our anniversary and my husband and I are foodies and love tasting menus, Mugen stood out as one of my favs! Every course was carefully thought out and flavors worked so well together. Cost was on par with what we’re used to paying without being in beautiful Waikīkī! 10/10 recommend!

Love this place. Great food. And Summer of 2026 they brought back chef's from the town location. Noticable upgrade on food. If you haven't been in a while now is the time to retry. They always treat like family (we do go a few times a month) but they treat everyone like that. My only tihngk is the spicy can be hard to judge, we just get he normal and ask for sause and the side to flavor as wanted. MAkes everything perfect.

    We’d gone to Chef Chai prior to a concert at nearby Blaisdell. Staff TJ & Tim we’re extremely friendly & accommodating. Always experience a wonderful meal, dessert & time at Chef Chai.

    An exceptional dining experience at Mugen! The cuisine was exquisite, beautifully presented, and full of wonderful flavors. The service was impeccable, attentive, and polished. An elegant, intimate atmosphere made the evening even more memorable. Truly one of Waikiki’s finest dining experiences. Highly recommend!
