Food and service was out of this world. The pumpkin gnocchi, in a French/ Japanese restaurant, was the best I have ever eaten. The Bansho oysters were fantastic. Together with the scallops. Drink prices reasonable, but not a cheap night out.

Fantome Wine Bar and Restaurant is an absolute Geelong gem. Selfishly I don't want too many people to know about it so it remains 'our place', but in reality it needs to be experienced by all. The food is French-inspired and divine, with a range to suit all tastes. This is fine dining but with generous portions and fabulous prices. Owner Amber is the perfect host as she offers thoughtful notes to the very extensive drinks list (there is even a cocktail with camembert!), and sets about making every guest comfortable and happy. The crockery and stemware is just as eclectic and lush as the whole establishment's luxurious, central CBD setting. This place is through the roof with ambience! With such attention to detail from Amber and her team, you will experience comfortable periods between courses - there's no rushing to get you out the door here - creating the perfect opportunity to engage with fellow guests and the glorious drinks menu. We'll be back again... and again. Do it!

Mandoline Elsternwick is a relaxed and casual cafe along Glen Huntly Road in Melbourne serving up a delicious blend of Australian and French dishes for breakfast and lunch. Also offering expertly made coffee and moreish pastries, you’ll be in cafe food heaven at this spot, trust us. Keep an eye out for breakfast options such as spicy shakshuka and eggs Benedict topped with slow-cooked beef brisket and corn croquettes, as well as lunch dishes that include seafood stew, cassoulet cooked with smoked pork belly, sausage and duck confit and burgers filled with all the trimmings. Popular for good reason, this French inspired cafe in Elsternwick does tend to fill up so booking ahead is highly recommended.
