The Wolseley is simply a sublime place to be. When you add to that the exquisite food, clearly cooked with skill, care and panache, one can only conclude that there is no better place to enjoy a meal in London. Of course, these are not greasy spoon prices. For me, it's for special occasions. This time, it was my son's birthday. I first took him there when he was 9, so there is all the caché of past history for us too. But, oh my goodness, how they take care of you, make you feel special. They are attentive without ever being intrusive. The waiter who served us (I didn't get his name - we were there Tuesday 27th, booked for 10.45am but were late, due to a train delay) was the embodiment of professional charm and grace but served with great warmth. Thanks Wolseley, again, for a fabulous experience.

This was the first time we had been to the restaurant and will definitely be going back. We shared the beef pie which was absolutely delicious and very good value. My colleague then went for the apple crumble and custard which was apparently "to die for!" Service was excellent. The only down side was the level of noise at one point. Clearly this is a very popular place for lunch!

Outstanding from start to finish. As good as the several 3 star restaurants I have visited in last year. Difficult to see how a dining experience could better this.

I have tried the welcome lunch set and the food is delicious except the current set menu didn’t have the complementary coffee or tea. But it’s still an enjoyable experience at Isabel and the waitress was very friendly 👍
