During this visit, our server Charlize was the star of the show. After introducing herself and asking our names, Charlize facilitated an optimal flow of drinks, tailored plates, and dessert. Over three hours at our preferred Table 29, we enjoyed the shaved brussels salad, shrimp tostones, and multiple orders of the butternut squash soup and fried chicken sandwich. We capped off the meal with the crumb cake dessert. Particularly excited about this visit, one member of our party did not eat all day; in the end, he conveyed his satiation with a smile while sipping his nightcap amaretto. On this busy Saturday night, Charlize notably thanked us all by name. She, bartender Nick, manager Tommy, and associate Kevin deserve special commendation for clearly working as a team, creating a great vibe, and providing us with another memorable night at End of Elm. I left more than satisfied, and honestly, there are no words to fully describe how amazing the entire meal was. The black rice was, without a doubt, the best rice I have ever had in my entire life. The deep-fried pork was incredibly juicy, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. You can tell that the chef truly knows what he’s doing and takes pride in his craft. As for the service, it was a solid 10/10! Our server was friendly, attentive, and made the entire experience even better. From the food to the hospitality, everything was exceptional. I’m from Long Island, NY, and I wouldn’t hesitate to make that drive again just to enjoy this experience. That’s how good the food and service were! House 157 is definitely worth the trip.
