Nestled in the heart of midtown Manhattan’s east side, a stone’s throw from New York City’s finest hotels and Grand Central Station, Toscana49 offers a serene and elegant retreat from the bustle of the city. We offer classic Italian dishes, and fresh homemade pastas that are made daily in our own kitchen, using time-honored traditional methods. Our welcoming staff is ready to assist you in choosing wines from our extensive wine list, introducing you to our specials, which change daily to include the freshest ingredients available from local markets, or mixing you the perfect cocktail.

We are open lunch and dinner seven days a week and serve a special brunch on weekends.

I love the food, and the service is excellent every time. The staff are warm and attentive and always make me feel welcome. It’s one of my favorite spots in Midtown.

                                                                          As always, delicious food and impeccable service. The only issue I had was the noice level which was not the fault of the restaurant--there were a couple of groups of very loud women who had a tendency to speak in piercing voices. I spend my childhood listening to my mother, my grandmothers, my aunts, my great aunts, etc. telling me to moderate my voice in public. These women could use the admonishment.

                                                                          Had dinner at Toscana 49 for the first time tonight, and it completely exceeded expectations! From the moment we walked in, the service was attentive, warm, and made us feel right at home without ever feeling rushed. As for the food, every dish looked incredible, but the lasagna was truly the star of the night. It was baked to perfection—rich, beautifully layered, and packed with authentic, comforting flavor. Easily some of the best lasagna I’ve had in the city. A fantastic dining experience from start to finish. I will definitely be coming back!
