Upper Lake Restaurants

The food, ambience and service were perfect 10. We had the lamb neck enchiladas, papusas, chicken and the trout. Tres le ches for desserts and chicha for drinks. Fair portions but taste wise each item was top notch. Missed out on the ceviche and wish they continued serving the steak. To sum up, a wholesome experience.

TwinFlame Oakland, similar to Tokyo's famous Hikiniku To Come. The menu is intentionally simple - they only have one main dish which is the wagyu hamburg steak. I don't want to compare TwinFlame from the origina Hikiniku from Tokyo because they each have their own take and charm but still worth the try. We loved the hamburg steak, it was juicy. For some it may be underwhelming but for our family of 3 - it was just right and perfect for our liking. The sauces were just fine. The stuff that we loved were: Ponzu sauce, poached egg, Yuzu Highball, unlimited rice, the Gim-mari and Gamja jeon (esp the truffle aioli) and of course the perfect ending - the matcha ice cream. Special mention to our server, Liam. The service was excellent!

Fantastic night with amazing drinks, awesome decor and the absolute best staff around. Highly recommend, I wish we didn't live all the way across the country!

Lovely restaurant. Nice wine list. Enjoyed my lobster rigatoni. Loved the churros. Excellent service.

It was a fun experience and delectable. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was so fun. The restaurant was decked out in Halloween decor with pumpkins and socerers and even Mickey and Minnie. So fun! The food was fresh and delicious. I recommend the fried chicken and any of the noodle dishes. Medium was plenty spicy. Great place and easy to park underneath Jack London Square.
