I had a wonderful experience at Toraji! The meat was fresh, tender, and full of flavor, and everything was cooked perfectly. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. It was a great place to enjoy delicious Japanese BBQ, and I would definitely come back again!

Rei is my great discovery. “Kaiseki“ but casual and you can talk to the chef while he is cooking. Rare in NYC! They use the best quality material to produce the best plates. I can go back again and again!!

This was my first time and the sushi counter service was incredible — the only way to go, I think. Sushi was incredibly good grade and the value for money proposition is very high. But the service — the service was truly, memorably, impeccable. This definitely goes into my rotation of the very best restaurants in NYC. I’d definitely come back.

About the restaurant
The Lobster Club, a Japanese Brasserie by Major Food Group, is a fixture within Midtown Manhattan's iconic Seagram Building. Designed by architect Peter Marino in collaboration with MFG, the dynamic space reflects an outstanding – perhaps extravagant - interpretation of Japanese cuisine. Using classic techniques like tempura, gyoza, yakitori and robata, along with a focus on Teppanyaki and Sushi, The Lobster Club sources fish directly from Tokyo's Tsukiji market to ensure the highest level of quality. Everything on the menu is designed to be shared, encouraging a spirit of informal fun.
