Loved by native New Yorkers and wide-eyed tourists, we are near the action -- located in the center of Hell's Kitchen, right by Times Square and surrounded by the Theater District. Try our signature mushroom bruschetta, short ribs, endive salad and home-made tiramasu, and then say hello to the owner Peter and wife Marni, who adore hospitality and can answer any questions about the best NYC places to see. So after your happy hour or pre-theater dinner experience with us, enjoy a pleasant walk over to a Broadway musical right or the Empire State Building. The possibilities are endless, so begin your culinary adventure with The Purple Tongue Wine Bar today. Can't wait to meet you!

Great go to in the theatre district - convenient to most of the Broadway houses I'll and, while it's a wine bar, the food is excellent - small bites for pre theatre or a regula full course meal

We chose to sit in the lounge area, away from a group so we could talk better. Service was excellent. We loved everything we ate. Very comfortable seating with lounge sofas. Great for groups. Beautiful interior.

We were staying upstairs at the Life Hotel and our concierge mentioned the basement lounge. We went down on a rainy Thursday night expecting a sleepy hotel bar and were blown away. The amber lighting bouncing off the carved onyx stone is stunning in person. Bartender whipped up a custom mezcal drink with passionfruit and chili salt that was out of this world. Felt like stumbling upon a private club. 10/10 hospitality

This was our first dining experience at Miriam, but it will not be our last. The food was excellent although the portion size varied from small to very large. We opted for 3 appetizers, a dip, and 2 entrees for 2 of is. We left full and felt very happy to have listened to the server’s suggestions. The food is very flavorful, leaning towards the spicy side, and full of aroma and flavor that one would expect (and hope for) in Israeli cuisine. Well-done Miriam! See you again soon!
