                                                                    We will not be going back to give this place a second chance. My glass of champagne was warm and flat - I had to ask them to open a new bottle. Wouldn’t you expect them to see it before they brought it out? The entrees were very salty, poorly plated however - they did come out hot. The apps were fine - nothing to write home about. The place definitely does not hold up to the description on the website.

                                                                    This was our first time eating at The Hartley after having stopped in there once before to have a pre-dinner cocktail. It was as good as the food had looked, which is what prompted us to go back for dinner. The steak was delicious, perfectly cooked and appropriately seasoned (which is to say, totally unfussy), and the wine list was impressive. We sat at a table in the bar area which I recommend as the chairs are very comfortable and there is a bit more room between tables. Normally we like sitting at the bar but as we discovered when enjoying our drinks, the chairs are a bit too low to eat comfortably. Would go there again!

                                                                    Cocktails were good. Food and service was ok. Nothing special about this place and $24 for a burger is a high price given the lack of ambiance in the restaurant. Unfortunately, we were seated in a corner where the air conditioning kept blowing on us despite it being February. I would not recommend this restaurant given its competition in the area.

                                                                    The interior is very nice, a sophisticated vibe. We initially weren’t given a wine menu and then after ordering our bottle it seemed to take a while to get to the table. The bread and olive oil were excellent. We shared the crab cake to start and it had great breading and a ton of crab meat but was a little dry. I had the pork chop which was excellent, the potato gratin was very flavorful but the broccoli rabe was very bitter. My husband had the lobster tail with risotto and the risotto was not good, the flavor profile was very odd. We ended with the cheesecake which was flavorless and just like the wine, waited a very long time for our cappuccino. While everyone was nice and the presentation was great, the food’s price point didn’t match the quality.
