I was a customer of BARO on 32nd Street until it closed. I am happy to see it has reopened one block away with the same management and high-quality food and drink. This BARO features Japanese cuisine and they have creative dishes. We started with the spicy sashimi salad which is on the Tapas menu. It was delicious and not spicy in the "hot" sense, just flavorful. The serving was large enough that I took some home and had it with breakfast the next day. I also tried the chicken wings. The old BARO had great Korean style wings. These are Japanese style of course and also great tasting. For main dishes we ordered the salmon lovers plate. It featured an assortment of salmon items. Large enough that we took some of that home as well. Our second entre was the Bulgogi Dupbap. It was superb and they did not skimp on the beef! I forgot to mention we also had Takoyaki, grilled octopus' balls. They were an enjoyable appetizer. I think this new BARO is a winner!

They have happy hour 4:30 to 6:30. Not many people there 5:30 to 6:30 so not too noisy, but expect later times to be noisy. Outside signage is confusing Baro O and K Sushi
