Located on Chelsea’s Park Walk, HUŎ opened summer 2021 to critical acclaim. Showcasing a unique blend of clean, fresh and healthy Asian food, dishes on Head Chef Yam Bahaeur Gurumg’s menu are all prepared from scratch using traditional Chinese, Thai, Malay and Singaporean disciplines. Favouring a balanced choice of snacks, small plates and mains, highlights include Soft Shell Crab, Siu Mai, Stir-Fried Beef Fillet with Spicy Black Pepper Sauce and Triple-Cooked Dover Sole with Asparagus, Garlic & Chilli. Driftwood colours combined with an abundance of natural light, ensures a fresh and airy ambience and on warmer days the restaurant's frontage is fully opened up serving as the backdrop to several pavement tables and a small terrace. As well as the restaurant, HUŎ boasts a separate bar area where guests can linger over drinks including a fantastic selection of Asian-inspired cocktails, alongside some of the more unusual and often coveted Japanese whiskies, vodkas and craft beer.

To support our team working the holiday, a minimum spend of £60 per person applies to food and drink (excluding service charge). Delicious food, wonderful service. We were all very pleased with lunch, restaurant was quiet at 12.15 but busier in the afternoon. Everyone very friendly. Highly recommend the wonton soup and Singapore noodles and the wok smokiness which most UK restaurants fail to get right. Dim Sum very good too.

Our first visit and it won't be our last. We came for a birthday celebration and we were not disappointed. We had a lovely booth to sit in and the lighting and atmosphere was comfortable. Menu had a good variety to choose from and the food was nicely presented and tasty. Attentive waiter who helped explain any menu queries before choosing. A lovely evening enjoyed by us all.

Starters (asparagus and hot and sour soup) OK but main of the KungPao chicken and Thai aubergine were in a sauce so sour we could not finish either

We noticed a marked deterioration in the food quality. The sweet and sour chicken used to be larger more succulent pieces of chicken, now it is small pieces with much more batter (obviously batter is cheaper than chicken). Crispy lamb lettuce was so overcooked it was brittle like charcoal and impossible to taste what it was. Really disappointing, wouldn’t go again. For the money there are many better options. Wasn’t busy for a Friday night - perhaps that’s telling.

Sadly not as good as it used to be. Quality of food has gone down. Very few customers. Waiters tried to be attentive and food came quickly.

I booked this restaurant for my 21st birthday and was very disappointed with the experience. We were rushed throughout the evening and barely had 30 minutes to finish our meal before being told they were closing. What confused me most was that there were still later booking slots available on OpenTable, so I don’t understand why we were made to feel so rushed. Our server was lovely and did their best to make us feel welcome, but unfortunately the owner spent much of the meal hovering around our table and repeatedly reminding us that we needed to leave as soon as possible. It made what should have been a special celebration feel uncomfortable and stressful. To make matters worse, we were charged the full bill + service charge despite not being given the time to enjoy the experience properly. I was only given a few seconds to blow out the candles before we were hurried out. Overall, it was a disappointing way to celebrate such an important occasion. The food is good but I wouldn’t recommend booking the evening slots advertised to avoid any issues.
