Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
House of Creole Cleveland offers a lively atmosphere with "amazing food" that embraces Creole flavors. Standout dishes include "fried deviled eggs," seafood gumbo, and "catfish and grits." While service can be slow, attentive staff like Jeremy and Mariah enhance the experience. Be mindful of the automatic 20% gratuity.

My first time visiting this establishment and it was phenomenal. The building is beautiful and it is conveniently located near parking and they also have valet service. Our waitress was very nice and the food was awesome. We will most definitely be back there for a second date❤️

Jeremy was our server, he was attentive explained the menu and offered great suggestions. The food was hot, fresh, and very tasty! The hot honey salmon tacos were so delicious. We will definitely be returning.

The food is great but the entire restaurant suffers at the hands of an extremely slow moving staff.

Service was slow. Like really slow. Once I noticed it was an automatic 20% placed on the bill. It made sense. They get tipped no matter the service they provide. outside of that food was great! Especially the seafood Mac n cheese !!! Definitely a Must try

It was my husband's and my first time dining at House of Creole, and we will definitely be returning! The restaurant is well-lit, which I like, and the atmosphere is welcoming. The food was delicious--be sure to order the gumbo--and was hot when it was brought to our table. I want to give a special mention to our server Micaiah. She was friendly and attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We dined well and really enjoyed ourselves.

Food was excellent!! Everything we ordered was very good. Service, not so much. Glasses sat empty for 15 minutes at a time an we waited 20 minutes to get plates cleared an check delivered. After the check came, I understand exactly why the service was so unnattentive. Automatic 20% gratuity. I personally always tip 20% or more but you should have to earn it. What a stupid policy that no matter how bad the service is, they get a top notch tip. 20% tips are supposed to be for excellent service. The server has ZERO reason to care if they take care of you when they know their tip is guaranteed no matter how bad they are. Just ridiculous policy. Not 18%, they add 20% to EVERY check. I probably wouldn't go back just because of this policy. Takes away all incentive to actually do a good job for your customers. Not a good policy an the restaurant should reevaluate this policy. Make your staff EARN their tips.
