A lovely East Village steakhouse. Delicious appetizers and perfectly prepared Argentinian steaks. Very friendly and professional service. As the room is cozy, the noise level is fairly high.

We celebrated a birthday at Buenos Aires. The staff was welcoming and attentive, the food delicious, everyone was very kind to our children, and we had such a great time! Seems like a fit for any occasion: date night, catch up with friends, family dinner, larger celebrations. Gracias!

Mauro took care of us. Grilled shrimp, sausage, picanha steak, porterhouse, Chilean sea bass were excellent. Skip the sangria and drink the malbec wine-excellent wine. Service and food were terrific. My friend likes her steak well done. She ordered the picanha which is a poor man's rib eye. Still not cooked enough they cooked it again-spectacular. Chilean sea bass comes with rice was huge. I split a porterhouse which was terrific. Value and quality. Sat night busy tables.

East Village dining spot Buenos Aires presents itself to a first-time visitor as a bright sports clothing store due to all the soccer jerseys hung everywhere. Staff all speak Spanish and Spanglish with friendly fervor and provide very efficient service. The menu is huge: more than 20 cuts of USA grain-fed beef and Argentine grass-fed beef plus 13 salads and 14 pastas and 7 empanadas and...The wine list is dominated by malbec from the Andean watershed, as it should be...fine and affordable selections. I lived BA so we chose to eat very local style: Maria salad [8/10] and perfect chicken empanada [11/10] and moist/tasty honeydew melon with generous prosciutto [9/10]... just like a family meal in La Boca district of BA. AND THEN: sirloin 12 oz and bife de chorizo//NY strip 10 Oz [both at 9.5/10 perfectly medium rare] with mashed potatoes [9.5/10] and spinach with a garlic mushroom layer [8.5/10]. Bread was anodyne but the grass fed butter was sublime. We washed down these goodies with two types of malbec whose senior libation was a fine El Enemigo [8.5/10]. Feeling full, we shared two small separate dessert dishes of flan and strawberries with sweeeet whipped cream. [9s] IF YOU LIKE WARM, ATTENTIVE LATIN CULTURE AND SOCCER AND AN ITALO-MEAT MEAL,THEN BOOK A TABLE FOR A WONDERFUL AUTHENTIC EXPERIENCE.
