High Falls Restaurants

We had a wonderful time! The service, ambiance, and food were exceptional. We were celebrating a special occasion, and the evening exceeded our expectations. It was truly a memorable dining experience.

Fantastic food choices and wonderful presentation. The soup with snap peas and mint was terrific and so was the chioppino and the cream cheese ice cream. We were celebrating my 75th birthday and I felt honored with a free prosecco and a chocolate bar with happy birthday on my ice cream. It was a perfect meal, in a perfect setting with perfect service for a reasonable price.

Found this on Open Table as we were driving thru. Looking for something casual and close to the highway. The River Pavilion was wonderful! We had a beautiful view of the river. The food was delicous, starting with the potato chips that were brought to the table as soon as we sat down. The ember Roasted seafood was delicious, with some perfect sourdough toast. The broth was flavored with herbs a just a hint of heat. The clam chowder was a generous portion and had plenty of clams. The wedge salad with shrimp delicious also. We will definitely stop again.

We came for our wedding anniversary, arriving early on a Friday around 5pm. At that hour, the restaurant was quiet and sun-drenched, light streaming through generous windows into a space that manages to feel both airy and elegant. I imagine it transforms into something darker and more intimate as evening settles in, but the brightness suited us just fine. Service was attentive and friendly throughout. No complaints, just not the kind of thing you leave talking about. The food, though, is worth talking about. A smoked salmon burrata appetizer was a genuinely lovely combination, and the golden beet salad was bright and well-composed. Entrees showed real care, seasoned and portioned thoughtfully rather than the aggressive abundance that passes for generosity at lesser places. The pistachio ricotta cake for dessert was the highlight: creative, not too sweet, and exactly the right size to split. Good value for what it is. Ciao Bella is the right answer for a special dinner in New Paltz, elevated without being stiff about it. Not an everyday spot, but exactly the right one when the occasion calls for it.
