Wasaga Beach Restaurants

We came to Collingwood to celebrate our recent wedding, and the Tremont was the first dinner of our trip. The service was absolutely impeccable. The maître’d was so genuinely friendly and personable to the point where as we were leaving, he made a point to dash out of the restaurant to shake our hands and say goodbye/congratulations. Our server was so sweet and lovely, and made sure we were well taken care of - always checking on drinks, wine and food but never once feeling overbearing. They were incredibly diligent with dealing with my food allergies, and made a point to reassure that all dishes served to me would be allergen-free. We were treated to some complimentary cava as a toast to our wedding before ordering our meal. We had the falafel and pork belly for appetizers, and steak frites (ribeye) and chicken supreme for mains. The food was incredible - beautifully plated and, most importantly, absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend everything we ordered, especially the pork belly. Also, my ribeye was perfectly cooked. Perfect medium-rare, great crust on both sides, fat perfectly rendered and wonderfully seasoned. Atmosphere was lovely - all the marks of a fine-dining restaurant without any pretension or obnoxiousness. We were so thrilled with our experience here and would absolutely come back without even thinking the next time we’re in Collingwood.

We celebrate the "gotcha day" every year in our relationship, at local places we've been waiting to try! What an awesome dinner for "31" We decided to split the salmon rilette (the perfect amount of dill and seasoning on the cutest crispy baguette) and the peach asparagus salad (OMG the dressing was amazing with just a nice finish of heat). My husband never orders pasta but the tuscan chicken came so highly recommended. It was a beautiful pesto cream sauce - not overpowering and a very large portion. I had the crispy chicken because... well who doesn't love a crispy chicken sandwich and shoestring fries? Incredible. Loved the coleslaw ans the extra pickle!! Cocktails and wine were fabulous in wonderful stemware. The whole place had a sexy cozy vibe. We will be back!

Our third visit to Bocado and the experience and consistency was excellent. The Spanish small plates arrive at an easy, unhurried pace that encourages lingering, and every dish we ordered earned its place on the table. Flavours were confident and generous, with unique presentation. The service is just as impressive. The staff know the menu well, read the table well, and somehow make a busy room feel personal. Hosting is clearly taken seriously here. Highly recommend, we'll be back.

The owner and his staff were perfect and the Surf n Turf presentation as well as the preparation of superior quality. I would recommend Barcelos in Wasaga to anyone who asked.
