Overall, a great experience. We tried many dishes, some which were standouts, others that didn’t quite work for us. Service was friendly, helpful, and attentive, though I do have one criticism. The menu is partitioned into appetizers and mains. There were several dishes on the appetizer list which we wanted as mains, but it seemed to really confuse the server. For example, wanting garlic naan (absolutely amazing btw) and Raita first. He REALLY wanted us to eat it with the mains. I think perhaps letting the customer decide how they want to eat things unless they specifically ask for guidance would make for less awkward moments. When ordering our mains, I had to preface “I know these are from the appetizer list….” In order to avoid confusion again.
We started with the Lotus Root Stem Chaat. First time eating a dish like this, and I loved it. Husband enjoyed it, and kids were 1/1 with one not liking it at all and the other going for seconds. We then had the Tandoori chicken which was off the charts amazing. My favorite dish of the evening along with the garlic naan. Perfectly seasoned and cooked chicken. Kids had the Bhatti shrimp and Lamb chops as mains. They were only mildly impressed with these dishes. Hubby had the Chipotle Gosht which he loved. I had the Chicken Tikka which was pleasant but not as good as the Tandoori. I think I missed the masala that usually accompanies tikka so was a bit disappointed. The vegetable Dum Biryani was far too spicy to be enjoyable, same with the house pickle (which is pickled vegetables not a pickle like my daughter thought ;) So I would say overall 4/5 with a few 5/5 dishes. Ambiance was nice but we visited on a quiet Wednesday evening. I can see where this place could get very loud very fast.
