Here’s where your “Chicago bestie” loves to eat

This was the perfect spot to host my 27th birthday dinner. The entire pasta section is unmissable (especially the rigatoni).

Amazing Greek food. Our whole group devoured every dish that hit the table, from the saganaki to the charcoal-grilled lamb chops. I dined during The Ritual experience, which starts after 11 pm on Friday and Saturday nights, when dinner turns into a party!

A true speakeasy with a Prohibition-era feel—password required. I loved the dim lighting, chandeliers, and library filled with books.

I’m adding my name to the generations of Chicagoans who have called this Italian steakhouse a staple since 1941. In addition to prime cuts, you’ll want to order playful signatures like the Garbage Salad and chicken alla Joe.

For when you want to take a quick trip to Italy without leaving Chicago. The rigatoni alla vodka—seriously, I love rigatoni—is to die for.

This speakeasy beneath Momotaro will instantly transport you to the Yokocho street scene of Tokyo. The Momo Royale is truly one of the best burgers in the city!

A live-fire South American steakhouse with one of most innovative wine lists in North America. There’s a huge, 12-foot grill right in the back of the restaurant where you can watch the chefs in action. I think about the steak frites almost daily.

Top-notch Peruvian dishes atop the Hoxton rooftop. What more could you want? It’s led by legendary chef Stephanie Izard (Girl & the Goat) and has been one of my favorite places to return to since my first visit in 2021.
