- DDonnaPhiladelphia County •14 reviews4.0Dined 5 days agoFood was delicious as usual. Our server was very attentive. The only thing that disappointed us a little was that we put down when I booked the reservation through Open Table that it was our anniversary and it wasn’t even acknowledged. The last time it was. Will keep going back because of food and service!More infoCaffe Gelato$$$$• Italian• Newark•4.1
- WWilliamPhiladelphia County •1 review5.0Dined 7 days agoJust wow! It’s like a well backed restaurant from Philly or NYC landed at UD. My wife and I both agreed that the place is nicely decorated, and that the ambiance is spot on if you like class without pretentiousness. There were seats across the bar for groups, seats by the bar for couples on dates, and seats to the rear where I’m sure it’s quiet. No space is wasted and everything fits. Our server, Alicia, was ALL OVER IT! She was pleasant and refreshing, and not once did we want for anything. What a great reflection on the restaurant! The food: when you go to a place that features steak, you get a steak, but before I did… I tackled the French onion soup. It’s was super! You know what makes it super? Its complexity and graciousness. Most restaurants that offer a FOS put no heart into it. Not here. One of the best I’ve ever had. Oh, the steak… I chose the cowboy chop (bone-in ribeye). From the perfectly crusted and fatty char, to the beautiful red middle, this steak met my expectations— which are high. I’ve been to that new steak place in Havre de Grace, as well as the one in North East (my usual), and Rockwell’s is now my top pick for beef. My wife got the salmon, and she loved everything about it. Also an instant favorite for her. Bottom line: we’re foodies, and Rockwell’s is awesome. We’ve been waiting for something like it for a long time. Oh, and the price is right. Parking to the rear, make reservations. Enjoy!More infoRockwells on Main$$$$• Steakhouse• Newark•4.7
- JJenniferPhiladelphia County •9 reviews5.0Dined on Aug 21, 2026Great-tasting food; there were some vegetarian choices, which, to me, is more than just having a salad, but I would really love to see a great vegetarian burger with all the fixings. But the service and food were great. I ordered one of their mocktails, the one with the guava (or is it mango) with the ginger; this is excellent. It reminded me of a drink that I had at "Charlie Was a Sinner" in Philly (another great restaurant-mostly vegetarian). I had the nachos as an appetizer; they are shareable and very tasty. I ordered the falafel sandwich; it needed a bit more salt but was overall good. I wish there was more sauce; it was a little dry for my taste, and I am sure if I had asked for more sauce, they would have obliged. As my side, I ordered the sweet potato fries, and they were excellent. I had a 4 pm dinner reservation, so there wasn't a huge crowd, and it was also student move-in day on campus, so I didn't expect it to be too busy, but I'll give it two weeks, and I think that place will be packed. I highly recommend this place. Can't wait to try other things on the menu.More infoHome Grown Café$$$$• American• Newark•4.4
- MMarkWashington, D.C. Area •13 reviews4.0Dined on Jul 2, 2026The place is exactly what you would expect based on its advertising. It is a local place with lots of sports screens and really good food. It is a place where you come as you are and feel comfortable. The staff was super friendly. They even walked the box I forgot at my table out to mee in the parking lot. I wish I could remember the name of the hostess who did that for me, but that was super cool. A really fun time overall. The crowd got pretty loud during the Goooooooal moments but, that is to be expected.More infoMadMacs$$$$• American• Newark•4.2
