"During Saints Patricks to the final four Iron Hill has O'Sullivan Stout. It is as close to Guinness in Dublin as you can get in the States. Fresh on nitrogen it is far and away the best beer they offer. Smooth, creamy, with roasted notes it goes down very easy. Good thing its only 3.8% so you should be able to handle a few. If youve only experienced Irish Stout in a can or a bottle you are missing out. Its like Arnold's bread to a fresh loaf. They also offer to mix it with their Irish Red(another great beer) to make an amazing black & tan. My main gripe is its only about a month of the year. It really should be a lot longer (November to May would be great) or permanent. Its that good.
As for the food, their hamburgers are the best around. Gumbo is always a great choice. They offered potato leek soup for Saint Patrick's which again is delicious. If you like spice try their Nashville sliders.
Service is hit or miss. Tim is simply the best. He is the most knowledgeable, and has a passion for the beer they serve. He will often bring tastes of beers he thinks you may like. Their are a few others that really bust their hump as well. But you can get a few that are slow and dont return very often.
All in all March is the time to go. Their Irish red is better than almost all other beers offered with the exception of the German Lager and Black Lager their isnt anything that competes. Except the O'Sullivan Stout which is my wifes, friends, Dads, and my own favorite beer anywhere. Oh and my wife doesn't drink beer normally but she goes twice a week when O'Sullivan is on tap."See more
"We were there on a Friday evening . We had reservations. We were late and needed to eat quickly, because we had reservations for a show afterwards.. The staff could not have been more accommodating. Very nice people. The complimentary appetizer was amazing and so was the appetizer we ordered. We had the seafood soup. It was good but next time we will order something else. There will be definitely a next time. We looked at other tables, and the food looked absolutely wonderful."See more
