Mark and Mary Shapley began this dining tradition in 1985 and soon became one of the premier restaurants in the state. After taking a break to raise their two girls, they have returned with the same great food and service everyone came to know. Great steaks and seafood along with their famous tamales are still the main attraction along with an impressive bar and wine offerings.     I am a frequent customer at Shapley's and I have never been disappointed in the quality of the steaks and the service. Shapley's is a cut above any resturant in the Jackson, Ridgeland and Madison areas. Our server was Aaryn and he was second to none. Very professional, engaging and attentive to our needs.

    My friends and I drove two and a half hours to go to Fondren Taste bar and grill. It was well worth the drive. The entire experience was everything to me. The food was exceptionally prepared. The owners were amazing. The staff was extremely accomadating. We were there from 6pm to 1am and i wasn't ready to go! Thanks Trice and Cliff. Loved Selina and Mike as well.

    1st time here. Cool place. Really liked the old school turned into a bar and restaurant. Ambience enjoyable. Enjoyed sitting in half booth backs against the wall facing the windows. Great food and love loved the oysters sampler. She liked her tuna but a bit too spicy. Great service. We enjoyed a little walk thru the old school hallways.
