An excellent Friday night at Bambara. The historic bank-lobby room and open kitchen make for a setting that's polished but relaxed. We shared the corn and crab bisque to start - silky, sweet, generous with crab, and gone in minutes. My wife and I had the short rib, fork-tender with a deep, glossy sauce, and paired it with Pinot Noir that was a perfect match. Our cousin's strip steak was a precise medium rare with a beautiful crust. Paul was a standout server, knowledgeable and warm with flawless pacing. When I call a restaurant excellent, I mean it. Five stars.
