A beautiful bistro restaurant in the middle of Edinburgh. Very friendly service and delightful ambience.

Excellent service which included very good food recommendations. Conveniently located on the High Street across from Giles Cathedral. Highly recommend. We had the haddock fish and sourdough bread appetizers, and the seat trout entrees. Excellent.

What an absolutely stunning little gem of a restaurant! The staff were very attentive, the food was amazing, and the drinks and cocktails were top end. We had the cod with pearl barley and cavolo nero, followed by a tiramisu martini and a Baileys latte for dessert. The restaurant was busy, but the staff and kitchen worked hard to produce a wonderful meal. We cannot fault a thing. Thank you so much for a lovely evening xx

I had a great solo dining experience to end my magical trip to Ireland and Scotland. My sever was maybe even better than the meal. Very enjoyable and knew the menus very well. When someone dines solo it can go two ways. Amazing and made to feel special and well taken care of… or…. Ignored because the server doesn’t think they will be tipped as well as the couple dining next to them. I had a perfect experience. I would dine there again for both food and service.

A wonderful evening at Black Grape! We had a lovely dinner at Black Grape last night. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and wonderfully peaceful — a perfect setting for an enjoyable evening and unhurried conversation. The food was equally impressive. The Scotch egg and mushroom spring rolls were absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared and full of flavour. My wife was particularly delighted by the extensive and thoughtfully curated wine selection. A truly memorable dining experience, and certainly somewhere we’d love to return to. Highly recommended!
