Best Restaurants for People Watching in Ocean Grove, New Jersey

Absolutely excellent. A great vibe for Father’s Day. Service was exceptional always checking with us if we needed anything. The specialty drinks were great. Dinner was awesome. We had a Father’s Day special of the 22 ounce cowboy, which was unbelievable. The executive chef Ashling, even came out and touched our table. What a gem!

This used to be the Langosta Lounge which was very rough and ready. I had some great times there but the Palmetto is a different type of restaurant. The decor, the food and the serving staff are decidedly upmarket. I booked a lunchtime table for 2 when Chuck Lambert was playing. Chuck put on an awesome show. Our waitress was great, being attentive but not intrusive. The food is well prepared but the portions are small given the price. By my wifes reaction, the transformation to Palmetto is a good move ( she did not like Langosta.) she loved everything.

I had the best mussels and branzino. The music was great and I danced. Our waitress Skylar was a pleasure and we left with a smile.

I had a great experience from the first meeting Patti at the reception desk to the restaurant she was very sweet very accommodating she did everything she good to make me feel special gave me a great table Patrick the waiter was terrific also professional and very accommodating The food was great too I thought the beet salad was out of this world !
