    The venue, service and food were all excellent. Friendly and courteous staff. A great pint of beer and good wine (with an extensive wine list). A choice of à la carte or market menu - both had many options. My husband and I ate off the à la carte and chose lobster ravioli and chicken liver parfait to start; bone-in sirloin and rib-eye steaks for our main courses and a knickerbocker glory and the pre-dessert cheese and biscuits for desert. All were exceptional. Our first visit but it won’t be our last. Thank you.

    Birthday celebration for our 16 year old son, on entering the pub greeted by the bar staff friendly and promptly served, with a smile. Clean and well presented surroundings comfortable seating with a no rush attitude. 4 Sunday roast meals , well presented with staff friendly and polite service. Asked on several occasions if everything was okay and the food was great . We have been to many different restaurants but the location and the high standards with an old fashioned restaurant added more value to the atmosphere. Great food highly recommend it.
