Gumbo was best I’ve ever eaten (including NOLA). Elk and bison also very good! Great, attentive service.

What an extraordinary experience! We were visiting friends in Savannah and wanted to take them to dinner - to our delight it was a restaurant they’d heard about but not yet visited. We had the most wonderful evening ! Staff was just incredible. So fun, so helpful, so cordial. And the food ! Oh my goodness! We noted especially that every single item we tried was in some way unique - every new bite held a beautiful surprise! There was not one disappointment throughout our entire evening. 2 of us ordered the tasting menu - wow what a generous amount of food at each turn! One ordered the Pineapple Mahi Mahi - and was still talking about it this morning - and he is the one among us always to be the hardest to impress! The 4th delighted in oysters (and they know their oysters) - and then greatly enjoyed their entree. I started with an espresso martini - one of my best decisions of the night - and the two of us with the tasting menu shared our desserts - there was plenty for all to have just a bit of sweetness at the end. Our only ‘annoyance’ was the loudness of the room. We 4 are over 70 and we’ve all lived for varying years in europe (where people are more aware of those dining nearby and speak in soft voices). We were fortunate that the couples on either side if us were enjoying their evening quietly - but oh my how loud most people were. It made it impossible for us to talk together - even when we leaned in almost head to head. For the majority of the evening - we spoke only to the person next to us Conversations across the table or with staff had to be shouted. So do be prepared for that - but OH MY how wonderful everything was! The chefs are brilliant and truly talented. The staff - just the best. Thanks for a truly remarkable evening. PS. Although our friends live less than a mile away, it was friday of a holiday weekend - so we ubered. What a great decision. Just so darned pleasant not to deal with parking a car….

We had a lovely evening at Local11 starting with cocktails up on the roof at The Perch. The Perch has been renovated and we love sitting outside and enjoying the calm atmosphere. Lots of shade and fans to stay cool. Inside at Local11, the atmosphere was just as relaxing and the food was very good. We had the shrimp skewers which were prepared very well. They were tender, not tough, and the mix of flavors with okra and peaches made for a delicious dish. We will definitely return.

We were greeted with champagne for our anniversary and they topped the night off with the most delicious chocolate dessert on the house, so kind!! Municipal is one of our favorite spots in SAV and we will return again and again.
