Best Date Night Restaurants in Tempelhof

I recently had the pleasure of dining at 963 and can honestly say it was one of the best meals I've ever had. Every dish was beautifully presented, packed with flavour, and it was clear how much care, creativity and attention to detail had gone into each one. The restaurant aims to evoke the warmth of home, and it absolutely succeeds, creating a welcoming atmosphere alongside food that is both comforting and exciting. What I loved most was how 963 honours traditional Levantine cuisine while giving it a fresh, contemporary twist. With plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, there's truly something for everyone. My three favourites were: New Age Levantine Salad – A vibrant mix of leaves, cherry tomatoes, radish, dried cranberries and divine caramelised pecans, all brought together with a beautifully balanced homemade sumac vinaigrette. Mezze Tower – Layers of muhammara, hummus and baba ghanoush separated by delicate baklava crisps. A stunning and imaginative take on the classic mezze experience. Tartufal – As a huge truffle lover, this was the dish I was most excited to try, and it exceeded every expectation. Truffle-filled falafel topped with truffled hummus and fresh truffle carpaccio made for a rich, indulgent combination. Other highlights included the roasted cauliflower with tahini sauce, the beautifully balanced Shiso Yalanji, and the Batata Harra Mille-Feuille, which may just be the best potato dish I've ever eaten. The cocktails were just as impressive. I tried the Basilico Bianco with basil-infused gin, green apple liqueur, lime, aquafaba and pistachio, and it was fresh, perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. From the warm hospitality to the creativity of the menu, 963 is a restaurant that's truly doing something special. I can't recommend it highly enough and already can't wait to return on my next visit to Berlin.

We had a lovely evening at Hotel de Rome last Thursday before heading to a concert with friends. The quality of the dishes was exceptional, truly on par with the standards I’ve come to expect from the Four Seasons group. The service was also very attentive throughout the night. I would only point out two minor areas for improvement: we placed our order at 7:00 PM and only requested main courses, yet it took nearly 40 minutes for the four plates to arrive. Additionally, the staff could be a bit more proactive with wine service, especially when a full bottle is ordered. That said, these seem like small details that will likely be polished as they settle into their new chapter. Given the overall experience, our rating remains high. We look forward to returning… ❤️
