It conjures up images of hidden away village osterias in the wild countryside of Emilia Romagna or the rolling hills of Tuscany, its cheerful welcome befitting of an old family favourite. Chef Marzio Zacchi passionately believes in using fresh, locally sourced and seasonal produce having grown up in Biella in the Piemonte countryside surrounded by a family who reared chickens, grew veg and cured their own salami. However, despite his rustic upbringing, Marzio has brought to Osteria Antica Bologna’s food the kind of sophistication that can only be gained through several years training in top London restaurants including Zafferano, Rosmarino, Spiga and Alloro.We look forward to welcoming you soon.

Bruce Poole and Nigel Platts-Martin opened Chez Bruce in 1995. From the outset, it was their intention to serve the very best food and drink but within a relaxed, informal yet thoroughly professionally orchestrated environment. At Chez Bruce we are not particularly into gadgets and tricks in the kitchen. Home-made charcuterie, slow cooked braises, offal, warm and cold salads, classical desserts and bread-making could be listed as specialities. We also take the cheese board very seriously indeed and it forms an integral part of the restaurant's day-to-day life. The Directors of the restaurant are fanatical wine-lovers and are very proud of the restaurant's wine list which truly is one of the very best in the UK.

    Greeted very quickly and relocated to a quieter area easily by our very polite member of staff. Menu offered quickly but quite a wait until we were asked for drinks and decided to order food at the same time to avoid another long wait. We did wait a considerable time for drinks and food but that is a minor moan. The food, drinks and service was really, really good and we will definitely be returning.

    We sat near the back in the quiet space and had a delightful and delicious long lunch. We were never rushed and our food came out in a timely manner. Our server was lovely and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely return.
