Best Restaurants for a Quick Bite in Flat Rock, Asheville / Western North Carolina

Phenomenal! Drinks, bread service, best crab bisque ever, cordon bleu was perfect, service was excellent (Igor was terrific). Any poor reviews could be because they have never had authentic French cuisine while abroad. We have and this did not disappoint.

Lunch was great. The service was amazing! Little disconcerting asking to sit outside, be told they are unavailable (ahem - seeing six empty tables), having a view from inside seeing four of those empty tables remain empty during our meal, and then leave with three of those original empty outdoor six still unoccupied as we walked out. Can't quite grasp the understanding of that, but the food and service were stellar.

Everything was special and delicious! Tupelo Honey exceeded our expectations!

Our entire experience was excellent! The manager was consistent & timely when checking on us and our server Alex was excellent with his customer service skills. He was also very knowledgeable about food and beverage items. The gentleman that brought our dishes was very helpful when deciding how to dress my lyonnaise potatoes.

Excellent new chef, menu, and reopening. From the appetizers to the dessert, we remain impressed. Weekly, weekend specials continue to impress. The attention to detail isn’t something we find much around our area. The Overlook is now our favorite restaurant. In addition to the specials, the daily menu includes a wide range of choices including handhelds like Philly cheese steak, pasta dishes, seafood, and speciality dishes. It’s casual and inviting. Outdoor eating has a spacious area perfect for sunsets and large groups. There is a gatehouse at the front of the neighborhood. Stop by and tell them you’re there for The Overlook restaurant.
