Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Capitol Hill / First Hill

Always my favorite restaurant in Seattle—and for good reason. Incredible food, unbeatable views, and a service team that is truly among the best in the industry. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you’re somewhere special. Tyler, along with managers Sean and Lauren, sets the tone with genuine hospitality, thoughtful attention, and a knack for making every visit feel like an occasion. The entire bar team is fantastic—knowledgeable, personable, and always on their game. Fernando, in particular, is an absolute rockstar. And if you’re lucky enough to have Tre as your server, you’re in for a treat. His ability to anticipate what you need before you even think to ask is remarkable, and he has a way of making every guest feel like family. What really sets this place apart is that the hospitality is every bit as memorable as the food. It’s the kind of experience that reminds you what great restaurants are supposed to be about. Whether it’s date night, a business dinner, a special celebration, or showing out-of-town guests the very best of Seattle, I can’t think of a better place to go. From start to finish, it’s an exceptional nose-to-tail dining experience, delivered by people who genuinely seem to love what they do. My go-to, time and time again. And I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

Went to Terra Plata for my girlfriend and I's anniversary. They had a table preset for us with special menus saying happy anniversary. Our server Nate was fantastic and incredibly friendly. The food was fantastic. Truly a special night for my girlfriend and I. Thank you to the Terra Plata team for making it feel so magical. We will be coming back.

This is a fantastic restaurant, top to bottom. The bread was fresh (kinda a big deal for me!). The pesto was soooo good. And I had the best cooked piece of salmon of my life. We will definitely be back.

Highly recommend - very pleasant atmosphere, great menu options, the best bolognese we’ve had in Seattle area. Service was fantastic - unsurpassed attention to detail, great pacing. We really enjoyed the restaurant and look forward to our next visit any time we find ourselves downtown. Located a little south of the city center on a very nice block with galleries and unique shops. It’s proximity to the stadiums makes it a wonderful pre-game/post-game option for Mariners or Seahawks games for people that are looking for a nicer culinary experience.

We met at Stella before attending an event at Town Hall. The cocktails were fun and the food was delicious. We were seated in the bar, so the noise level was high, so if we needed a quieter experience next time I'd ask to be seated in the dining room. I'm so glad to have found a great place to meet and eat before my next event at Town Hall.
