Best Organic Food Restaurants in Kaka'ako

Fabulous! After five days of touristy restaurants, this was a welcome change. We loved the relaxed vibe, small size m, and reasonable prices. The was fantastic. This was our favorite restaurant experience in Waikiki!

Our experience was absolutely delightful! . The servers are professional, knowledgeable about the menu AND wine/cocktail pairings plus they’re joyful and fun! The beet salad is to die for. The mahi mahi Osso buco was fabulously flavorful and cooked to perfection. The cioppino, rigatoni and lilikoi desert were outstanding as well. I can’t say enough about this gem!

If you’re even slightly familiar with the Hawai’i’ culinary scene, then you know Peter Merriman is an icon. His original restaurant is a cozy little joint in Waimea on the big island that I love. This Honolulu location has a different, upscale city vibe, but still manages to bring the comfort of the original. Rest assured, it’s a total knockout in every way! The menu is unique, local, inspiring, and downright delicious. The interior is charming and bright. Service is top tier. And that famous lilikoi foam mai tai will forever ruin all other mai tais for you. There is simply nothing to critique. To top it all off, they have a spectacular happy hour that runs until 5:30. They often feature live music on the patio too, which is lovely. Make sure to book a reservation - it’s always busy. But if you can’t get in, consider trying one of Merriman’s other restaurants instead. Moku and Monkeypod are slightly more casual, but equally good. The menu at Merrimans is the best, but I actually prefer Monkeypod for the amazing ocean views. Moku is a nice alternative because there is rarely a crowd and it’s easier to get to. They all feature similar menus and all serve the one and only mai tai.
