I decided to take my Nana to June for the 'after hours' dinner on a Friday night. I was very happy with the convenience of booking online, the friendly staff as always and quick wait time for the food. The quality of the lamb ragu was exceptional and the chicken bowl with quinoa and avocado was great too. I definitely will be coming again with more family.

Sixpenny is our al time favourite restuarant anywhere in the world. The food is glorious - wonderful layered flavours and textures and beautifully balanced courses, together with superb presentation of each dish that is stunning but not tricked up. The wine offerings are extensive and really thoughtful and the sommelier very knowledgeable and attuned to his patrons. The service is absolutely first first first class - the young maitre d' has the perfect balance between friendliness and professionalism and all staff are fully knowledgeable about the food, its sources and its preparation. They were fully across what we had last visit and knew which wines my husband had particularly liked. It's expensive but that's understandable given how small it is, and the work that goes into each dish and the high staffing.

This is by far our favourite Japanese restaurant, and the wonderful staff feel more like family. We genuinely love the place and want to keep coming back. However, we also need to be honest. While we understand that rising costs are putting pressure on everyone, the portion sizes have become noticeably smaller. The sashimi pieces are now so thin that they feel more like slivers of salmon or tuna than a proper serving. We completely understand the need to make some adjustments, but we hope there might be another way to manage costs without reducing the portions quite so dramatically. We miss receiving the generous, satisfying meals we used to enjoy and would love to see them return. We are only raising this because we care about the restaurant and want to continue supporting it. We hope you will take the feedback in the spirit in which it is intended.

Friendly service with a welcoming atmosphere. A lovely restaurant serving a delicious selection of Japanese dishes. The sushi was fresh, donburi very tasty, tempura crisp and flavoursome. Lunch special was very tasty. I would recommend this little gem at Rhodes.

Although the venue was extremely busy and there was a little wait for our table the staff were super friendly and kept us updated all the time. Once seated the service was great and our drinks and meal came out fast. Highly recommend. Also the options for children were create not just the standard chips and nuggets or burger. They had some great healthy options.
