We had an excellent experience at The Great Room in The Merchant. From beginning to end, staff were polite, professional and went above and beyond to ensure all aspects of service were of a high quality. The food as ever was beautiful; fresh and full of flavour. We would thoroughly recommend The Merchant to anyone.

Food was spectacular. My only fault was the pace it was served. Starters and mains had been served within 20 minutes of our order having being placed. Then took 30 minutes to pay our bill. Would return for the food :)

Outstanding! Our first visit, and we were delighted on every level. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, warm, friendly, polished, professional, helpful service, a menu on which every option appealed, great quality wine list, and every dish we tried was beautifully and thoughtfully created and presented. The level of care is obvious, and the results spoke for themselves. Every dish was singing in its own distinct way. A wonderful evening in every sense, they really couldn't do more.

Outstanding food. Everything was delicious. I love how it all comes at different times so nothing arrives luke warm. Our server was Sinead and she was brilliant. Very knowledgable and friendly, was happy to leave a tip as she was attentive without being over the top !! Throughly enjoyed our night there
