Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Fremont

This was our first time dining at San Fermo and happy to report we loved every dish we ordered from the chickpea flat bread to farm house salad to our 2 pasta selections and ending with tiramisu. Smaller space means it can be noisy if the tables nearby have loud voices but I enjoyed facing the kitchen and watching the team work.

We dined here for my husband's birthday, and it did not disappoint. We had made a reservation and got a comfortable table in the back. It was beautifully decorated and romantic. The menu was extensive, but the server was helpful in making recommendations and wine pairings. I ordered the beef short rib off the seasonal menu, which was elegant, tender and delicious. My husband ordered the jambalaya, which was excellent. For dessert, we had the blackberry sorbet and the beignets with bourbon vanilla ice cream. Both were delicious. These were the best beignets I've had. I can't wait to return.

Food, service, ambience—all wonderful. It was our second visit and we expect to return many times.

Delicious meal. I'm so sad to see Revel go but loved getting an opportunity to eat my favorites–the corned lamb salad, Dungeness crab noodles, and short rib rice bowl–one last time.
