I’m not sure why it wasn’t more crowded. Everything was fantastic! This was my second visit. We had to repeat the blue crab pasta, unique and delicious! I had the scallops and my husband had the redfish. Both were excellent. Cheesecake for dessert. Really great! And live music added a nice touch.

4. Ella Mae's Diner

A welcome twist on the classic southern diner, Ella Mae's is where community gathers to share stories over inspired comfort food. Located on Bay Street inside Luminary Hotel & Co., our chefs put a fresh spin on neighborhood favorites, from the Southern Bowl (cheese grits, diced sausage, scrambled eggs & sausage gravy) and house-brined Corned Beef & Potatoes to the indulgent Southern Peach French Toast with Wicked Dolphin Rum syrup!Celebrating the legacy of Dr. Ella Mae Piper, the restaurant's vintage-inspired finishes and bright color palette set the perfect backdrop for breakfast or lunch. Doors open for the early birds and don't close until the late risers have had their fill. Come as you are!

We had to change our reservation a couple of times but easily done via Opentable. Our first time here (thanks to Diners, Drive Ins & Dives) & what a find. Fantastic service from the friendly welcome to the rather good margarita by Tyler. Our server, Zach, was friendly and helpful, explaining a bit about the ethos of the restaurant and menu highlights. The “jammin” burger was delicious according to hubby but the coconut crusted snapper with risotto was amazing, easily my favourite meal this vacation. The grouper bites as an appetiser were also delicious but definitely one to share! All in all a fabulous place and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Naples.
