We had a lovely meal. I seldom take time to enjoy the restaurants in PHS but we tried The District and the menu was creative with the entrees being very well prepared and presented. The Duck was properly cooked, the parsnips weee a bit too sharp or vinegary and the short rib was tender and flavorful. It was a treat although with one drink each we did break $160 for 2… a good meal but expensive.

Loved it. I had the short rib with mushroom risotto. Outstanding. Excellent classic cocktail menu as well. Friendly staff all around. Glad we tried it. Will now be our go-to before theatre.

We enjoyed the food and cocktails. The evening we visited they seemed to be understaffed and there was a long wait for our entrees. We will definitely give it another try.

We both had seafood and it was very good. The waiter was excellent and the timing of appetizer then our meal was nice ! It was a bit noisy, and crowded. We went to a show at Playhouse. Would recommend !

They know their audience given the area as one of the first questions asked after sharing the evening plans the waitress what is your comedy show time.

The fish was bland and oddly wet. Ambiance in the anteroom is nonexistent. Service was slow.

The food was excellent and the service matched. This is an excellent restaurant to dine if you are waiting for a play at the Playhouse Square, celebrating an event or looking for an romantic getaway with fine dinning.
