Party of two promptly seated. We chose to sit indoors as the dining room was less crowded than the outdoors patio. Service was prompt. We ordered a few different rolls and small plates. Ordered a nice bottle of Sake. All in, a great time for a tourist couple seeking a great dinner. Eats & drinks + tip was $190.

We are so happy that the hockey season is back. It provides us extra opportunities to dine with our friends at Katsuya. The only thing better than the excellent food and drink is the service we receive each and every time. I want to thank Sarah so very much for taking excellent care of our group. Additionally, thank you Tak for your hospitality and warm greeting each and every time we dine. Your leadership is clearly visible in each of your team members. thank you,

It was very cool to see tuna cutting for the first time. We got lucky and won the raffle to the kamatoro cut, and it was no doubt the highlight of our meal. The cut was tender, juicy and buttery and worth every dollar. We also ordered tuna sashimi and sushi, which were fresh but the quality of the fish was less stellar. It was heavy on the akami and not much toro, and certain cuts were stringy and harder to chew. Overall this was a very unique experience, and I very much appreciate Shinsengumi for bringing cultural events like this to our neighborhood. I will definitely return for future events.
