Remove m dashes 00:19 The restaurant was a little quiet, but I think that's down to which side of Church Street it sits on rather than anything else. The service was excellent and our host was warm, gracious, and genuinely welcoming. The food was really good too. My brother had the aubergine and said it was beautifully seasoned. We visited around lunchtime and ordered from the lunch menu. The fried chicken was a highlight, well-portioned and paired nicely with the tonkatsu sauce. The sake flight was a great call as well; it lets you try a few before committing to a bottle, which makes the decision a lot easier. Good value for what you get, and I'd definitely go back.

Truly outstanding Japanese food. As an Asian, in Europe when people say a restaurant has fresh sashimi / sushi, it usually only means 'edible' to me. But Guru Guru delivered high quality fish and seafood, with unbelievable freshness that can only be found in fish market. On my radar for my next birthday celebration.

Amazing sushi, everything was really fresh. The miso aubergine was fantastic and the gyoza. Can’t beat it for value for money. Please support this restaurant it’s such a gem!!! Staff are incredible and are always happy to help. Can’t wait to come back

100% recommend this restaurant! The atmosphere was absolutely lovely, creating a really welcoming and enjoyable dining experience. All of our food arrived in under 20 minutes and was delicious. The quality of the dishes was outstanding, especially considering the very reasonable prices. Our server was also incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Overall, a fantastic place that I would definitely visit again.

The staff here are welcoming, friendly, informed and attentive. We had the lychee cocktails on happy hour, so an already delicious drink tasted even better. Great food, including tempura, black bean beef, soft shell crab and duck. Such a good find. Thank you to the lovely staff.
