It was a very quiet night at Javier’s Downtown when we went prior to a concert. The service was excellent. We have dietary restrictions that make eating out difficult but our server was great about checking with the chef about what would work for us. Our meal was delicious. We were there early and able to take advantage of the Happy Hour drink menu - a great value. I loved that we were able to have a leisurely meal but never felt ignored by our server. The vibe is very eclectic and fun - lots of lights, music playing in the background. They do include a 20% gratuity on the check, but our server pointed that out to us when he delivered our bill - and had it highlighted - so there was no missing that piece.

Nice restaurant. I brought my two teenagers and thankfully they let the picky one order from the children’s menu. Very convenient since we were staying at the Westin Book Cadillac hotel. As a somewhat vegetarian, I was able to order a few side dishes that were very good. My 15 year old son enjoyed his steak and the lobster Mac and cheese. Overall, a nice place.

Friendly greeting upon arrival, seated in an uncrowded dining area. Perfectly lit and decorated to give just the right amount of ambiance. From the caesar salad to the incredible steak and sides, all the way to dessert the food was awesome. Our server, Ryan was informative, gave us great background on the menu, and suggested a few things that we tried and loved. He was attentive and took care of our meal exactly the way a server should. This place is 10/10 and we will be back.

Every year, I take my husband to the London Chop House for his birthday as it is his favorite restaurant in the city. The service is impeccable; the food is consistently delectable, and the atmosphere is filled with clinking glasses in an old world, sophisticated decor. But as impressive as all these elements are, it is the people who work there that make the evening's experience so memorable. From the gentleman who took my hand to help me out of the car and guide me safely to the entrance, to Dorian who greeted us with a smile, and his charming 'welcome to the London Chop House' speech, and to our server Marvin all contributed to the experience of warmth, professionalism and service which elevates The London Chop House to epitomize fine dining in the City of Detroit
