Best Steakhouses in Kensington

Starlite is without a doubt one of my favorite restaurants in San Diego. We’ve been twice this year to celebrate birthdays & both times they exceeded all of our expectations. The food is genuinely good & the service both times has been above & beyond. The servers make genuine recommendations which I personally love. We got several of their sides with our meal & every one was better than the last but the broccoli was an unexpected favorite (per our servers recommendation also). They have the cutest birthday cakes and also both times comped a drink for us as well, which may have just been coincidental but truly shows they go above and beyond. We were sat upstairs tucked in the back by the fountain which was a really cool spot but just a smidge loud with the restaurant noise added as well but overall the experience was a 10/10 and we will definitely be back.

We loved the food and the ambiance. Each dish had a distinct flavor and was cooked to perfection. We will return soon.

Fabulous experience, some of the best, most thoughtful service we’ve gotten. Our server Jake was outstanding, made great suggestions and had a knack for knowing just when to stop by. The dry-aged ribeye was phenomenal, the mushrooms were delicious, the cocktails were on point, and the seasonal macaron was a perfect last bite. The atmosphere is classic without being pretentious, and we appreciated the great music at a volume that allowed us to easily converse without hearing the people around us. We sat in the dining room but took in the gorgeous view from the second floor open air space after dinner. 10/10, would recommend, ask for Jake!
