Best Southern American Restaurants in Millington

We had an outstanding meal at McEwan's last night! Had not been there in years as it is downtown and hasn't been top of mind. Valet parking was quick and easy, making the downtown location much simpler than we'd imagined. Service was quick and very attentive. Excellent cocktail and menu choices, plus a few specials made it hard to narrow down. We had buttermilk fried oysters, BBQ duck enchiladas, short rib pasta w/truffle cream sauce and sweet potato-encrusted catfish w/mac & cheese and greens. The soft, buttery mini-biscuits served with the meal are delicious and perfect. This was seriously the best meal we'd had in a long time - each dish was full of flavor and nothing bland here. The menu is southern traditional with a twist to keep things interesting. McEwans is moving to the top of our restaurant list - we'll be returning soon!

I absolutely love this gem of a restaurant. I’ve visited this establishment for three separate occasions…anniversary dinner, Mothers 70th birthday dinner, and sister’s birthday brunch. Each visit was exceptional at every point…the valet, hostess, and waitresses all provided such a pleasant experience from beginning to end. Added bonus was the frequent visits and check ins from the Chef/Owner, it’s obvious he takes great pride in providing a Stellar experience for his guests and it shows! As much as I would love to keep this hidden gem to myself, I would encourage anyone who wants an upscale yet welcoming experience to visit…you will not be disappointed!
