We had a lovely evening at Revivalist! The interior is absolutely beautiful—elegant, sophisticated, and exactly my kind of atmosphere! 😍
I ordered the filet, which I enjoyed, and my husband thought it was tender and juicy. Personally, I would have preferred a little more seasoning, but the bacon jalapeño jam was the star of the show! Its wonderful balance of sweetness, savory richness, and a gentle spicy kick was absolutely delicious. I couldn’t resist dipping practically everything into it! The molasses sage carrots were another delightful highlight. The crispy chèvre wasn’t quite to my taste, as I don’t particularly enjoy strong goat cheese flavors.
My husband ordered the duck, which he found okay, although he felt it didn’t quite justify the price. The charred okra was beautifully presented, but unfortunately, it was tough and stringy. Perhaps a different entrée would have given him a different impression.
Our kids also finished their meals, which was lovely to see! 😊
The grand finale was my vanilla matcha crème brûlée. Absolutely delightful! The caramelized sugar crust had that perfect, satisfying crunch, while the custard was wonderfully smooth and silky. The delicate matcha layer at the bottom was a lovely finishing touch. I savored every spoonful!
A special thank-you to our waiter, Aaron, for his attentive service! He made sure our drinks were refilled whenever needed, which was such a thoughtful touch. We truly appreciated his attentiveness throughout our dinner.
Overall, Revivalist offers a beautiful atmosphere, creative flavors, and attentive service. While we had different opinions about the value of our entrées, the bacon jalapeño jam, sweet carrots, and exquisite dessert made the evening memorable for me!
