- LLawrenceToronto / Ontario •1 review5.0Dined on Jun 27, 2026Ambiance and cleanliness is top tier. Almost unmatched by anyone else. The pho is excellent, Soup base is not too sweet. One caveat, their menu is extremely small if you compare to a typical 100 item Vietnamese menu. This is not a place to bring your soccer team…. I’d bring the in-laws or out of town visitors. Washrooms are very clean for a downtown restaurant.More infoSenla Vietnamese$$$$• Vietnamese• Financial District•4.6
- MMayetGoldNew York City •13 reviews5.0Dined on Jun 26, 2026★★★★★ Filipina American from NYC/NC craving Filipino food, and Makilala absolutely delivered! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared—from the Tortang Talong and Pancit to the crispy Lechon Kawali with Laing and the warm, freshly baked pandesal. The nostalgic décor, especially the sari-sari store, brought back wonderful memories of home. The staff was warm, welcoming, and embodied the genuine hospitality Filipinos are known for. Kudos to the owners and the entire team for creating a restaurant that celebrates Filipino culture so beautifully. Whether you’re Filipino and missing the flavors of home or trying Filipino cuisine for the first time, Makilala is well worth the visit. We’ll definitely be back! 🇵🇭More infoMakilala$$$$• Filipino• King East•4.7
