My wife, daughter, and I went to Anelya last night for the first time. The approach on Elston Ave. does not look promising, but stepping inside is a completely different and unexpected experience. The interior design is bright and stylish. The staff was really pleasant without being overbearing. The food was excellent. I would say that food quality for cost was as high as anywhere that we have eaten. The dishes we had were all delicious and were unique Ukranian-inspired creations. The cocktail menu was in the same spirit. I can completely recommend Anelya unless you are a diner who wants what you usually eat, like big cuts of beef, or similar fare. Anelya is a small plates experience to savor.

The 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed the food, which was perfectly cooked and delicious! We had the hummus starter, the ricotta appetizer, the desserts artisanal ice cream and the Karpatka pastry, and the entrees duck confit, bbq ribs, and lemon risotto. Among the best restaurant meals I have ever had. Also interesting cocktails. I look forward to my next visit.

A must try! A fun vibe speak easy place! Food was very fresh, open kitchen and the staff were extraordinary! Cocktails can be a bit expensive (up to $25) but were well crafted!! Would definitely return to try more food items from the men! Thank you all!!
