It was very nice to experience fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere. Food was outstanding! The duck was melt in the mouth while the risotto was rich and fully flavoured. A pleasurable experience, with very good service. Although somewhat expensive, it was worth every penny!

We had a wonderful lunch at The Union yesterday to celebrate my Mum's birthday - we decided on the 'Feasting' Menu and what a treat! The food was absolutely delicious, some very unusual and special combinations, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The setting is also very nice, a roaring fire, which gives a beautiful timeless and quiet ambience combined with excellent service made for a very good choice!

Yet another outstanding lunch and first class dining experience at the Poet, this time the chocolate week menu. The foie gras starter was melt in the mouth and sooo tasty, leaving you eagerly awaiting the next course. The main of octopus and scallops was the best octopus dish I have ever had - soo good. The multi taster chocolate dessert plate was beautifully presented and a great way to round off an outstanding lunch. Beautifully presented, sumptuous food and the usual highly impressive, impeccable service from engaging staff, this time led by Poppy. We will be back as soon as we can.
